Classification of nylon industrial yarns and their applications in industry
2024-01-25
Nylon is a fiber made from polyamide by melt spinning and post-processing. Polyamide is made from polymer monomer caprolactam or monomer nylon 66 salt by polymerization, polycondensation. Nylon luster is duller, the surface seems to be coated with a layer of wax feeling, the color is not bright. Feeling hard, hand pinch the fabric after loosening, there is a crease, can slowly return to its original state. Warp and weft fastness.
Nylon has a wide range of applications and can be divided into three parts: civil silk, decorative silk and industrial silk.
1, civilian silk ---- Because nylon has good elasticity, strength, abrasion resistance, easy to dye and other properties, a large number of clothing, socks, bedding and bags, bags, umbrellas, ropes and other items. In this field, nylon 6 accounts for about 70% and nylon 66 accounts for about 30%. Because nylon 66 has high strength, high abrasion resistance performance, thus in the production of bags, carpets, rope, bags, umbrellas and other items to be better than nylon 6.
2, decorative silk ---- nylon is mainly used for curtain fabrics, furniture decoration and carpets. Because nylon textured yarn has three-dimensional curling characteristics, so the rebound and fluffy, good resistance to collapse, good dyeing. The fiber can also be made into flame retardant, antistatic, antibacterial and other materials. Processing tufted carpet is more beautiful, thick, plump, comfortable and comparable with pure wool carpet, polypropylene carpet can not be compared with it.
3、Industrial silk ---- nylon is mainly used for tire cord, conveyor belts, safety belts, paper blankets, industrial blankets, as well as fishing nets, ropes and so on.
Nylon is easy to deform under the external force, so its fabric in the process of wearing easy to become wrinkled, the fabric is not straight. Therefore, nylon is often blended or interwoven with other fibers to improve the strength and firmness of the fabric. Nylon fiber fabrics can be divided into pure spinning, blending and interweaving three categories, each category contains many varieties. Nylon fabrics have good abrasion resistance and are thin and lightweight, so they are ideal for sportswear, swimwear, bodybuilding clothing, down jackets, and mountaineering clothing.
